About Textiles

Since 1991

Textiles was opened by Ritu Jain as a small fabric store in 1991. Ritu grew the business into a popular women's clothing store on the Pedestrian Mall in Iowa City. Her philosophy: Life is too short to be uncomfortable! 

In 2025 I purchased the store from Ritu when she decided to retire. An exciting transition for me as I've spent my entire career as a photographer. I've always loved the vibe of Textiles and I strive to carry on the tradition of the space you've come to love. Hopefully with a little flair of my own too!
